In 2017 Divine Chocolate selected NoBlue to implement NetSuite ERP + CRM to unify all their key back-office operations in one system, abandoning the need of consolidating information into spreadsheets and thus saving time and resources.
About The Client
As consumers become more ethically-conscious about where their food comes from and how it is produced, Divine Chocolate Limited – the only 100% Fairtrade cocoa company co-owned by cocoa farmers – has grown quickly since it launched its first chocolate bar in 1998.
The company is co-owned by the 85,000 farmer members of Kuapa Kokoo, a farmers’ cooperative in Ghana, who supply cocoa for each Divine chocolate bar and has today grown to a significant scale, with turnover in excess of £15 million.
Divine Chocolate’s growth was partly due to it merging its UK and USA businesses. This also brought new challenges to the company in regard to back-office operations and Divine Chocolate quickly realised it needed to:
To achieve this, Divine Chocolate turned to NoBlue, was selected to work with Divine Chocolate not only because of its proven ability to execute the project plans effectively but also the flexible support it offers to its clientele; NoBlue really understood the requirements of a dynamic and growing enterprise.
Following an initial meeting with Graham Hall and David Atherton of NoBlue, the Divine Chocolate evaluation team realized that its long-term business goals and objectives could only be achieved through a close collaborative partnership.
To unify Divine Chocolate’s back-office operations, NoBlue implemented Oracle NetSuite and integrated it with existing systems. Since its inception in 1998, Oracle NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-ready cloud business management suites of ERP, CRM, and ecommerce applications for businesses of all sizes.
NoBlue was able to demonstrate that it could deliver an innovative and robust solution, as well as that it had the resources and competence to deliver this seamlessly. The implementation methodology provided by NoBlue also proved to be agile enough to allow Divine Chocolate to take full advantage of the features and benefits of the Oracle NetSuite software.

After just five months – a record time – the implementation was live and Divine Chocolate was saving time and resources.
Divine Chocolate now has real-time visibility and control over management of Financials, Subsidiaries, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales Force, Marketing and CRM. It benefits from robust financial reporting which helps execute a smooth auditing process and better, faster decision-making as a result of real-time data and reporting via personalised dashboards. Productivity has also improved thanks to the anywhere, anytime access provided by NoBlue’s solution, while the time for a financial close has been slashed by more than 50%.
